fretboard attachement

Hi people
Im in the process of a build at the moment and have been doing a bit of experimentation /learning and are thinking of attaching the fretboard to the soundboard mechanically.
Ive seen the way Taylor do it but that seems overkill to me ,and I dont have a CNC machine
I was thinking of just some 1/8 countersunk metal threads drilled through the fretboard and soundboard ,epoxied into the fretboard and just nuts and washers and a wood shim underneath the soundboard ,the metal thread heads would then be covered with shell dot inlays as fret markers,depends on how I would want to mark the frets there is scope to use 1,2 or 4 or 5 screws ,
is this a stupid idea ?
the reasoning is so that the neck is completely removable , I am using a mortise and tenon neck joint
or would it just be better in your collective opinions to just glue it ?

Im afraid my build has progressed beyond being able to attempt a "simple" join like that

Start with a normal single MT joint, bolt on the neck, get the alignment right, rout a pocket for the neck extension across the neck and the body, drop in the loose tenon. Dismantle the joint, glue the loose tenon to the neck only, fit the screw inserts (T-nuts), glue on the fretboard.

What's hard about that?

It's a great joint when well done. Can go from strung and tuned to neck off in less than 5 minutes and most of that is getting the strings off.
