Is China ready for the Olympics? Pictures

Post by Allen » Fri Feb 22, 2008 7:05 am

For my whole life my family has been a homestay for Asians, mostly Chinese, that would live with us for at least one year, go to school and learn English. Some of the translations that these young people came up with were truly hilarious. Now I work with 2 men from northern China. When they came to Australia they couldn't speak a word of English, and as I was deemed to have the most patience and the best understanding of them. It's been my responsibility to keep an eye on their work, and help them along. They still can get me to laugh every day with a new phrase that they feel that they have mastered.

Anyway, I came across these today and thought some of you might find a chuckle or two in them.

After pissing and shitting, be sure to wash your hands. Then, enjoy some

Yep Engrish can be alot of fun.

I recall the nice card my Japanese wife gave me after we'd had a huge barney over something really stupid.

Inside the card she'd written "Im sorry for being a selfish parson".

Of course I had to laugh......and that of course caused another argument

And then there was the time she popped next door to borrow my neighbours wheelbarrow.

It took my neighbour a while to work out what my wife was talking about when she asked to "borrow the urubarrow".

I'd love to try the Dew-Dew liquid there, it looks scheweeeett!

But i'd probably end up with the diet water after a while, a whole lot less calories
