Hi,
What is the preferred cutting compond after 1000 grit sanding to polish Mirotone 3220?
The books and others seem to recommend offshore products.
I assume car detailing compounds aren't suitable because they chemically soften the 3220?
Comments much appreciated

Mirotone 3220 buffing
Re: Mirotone 3220 buffing
The place I buy my Mirotone from in Adelaide recommended (and sells) Farecla G3.

Seems to work well and buffs up to a nice shine.

I use mothers and Maguire car polish. Show car polish etc. You can get it from supercheap, autobahn Repco.
There's probably other polish you can use, but they're readily available and not that expensive. Wayne

3M and Autoglym are also excellent buffing products. 3M range is huge so it might take some research into the best option.
Re: Mirotone 3220 buffing
“3M Perfect It” is the only polish I used on Miritone clear, however you mention polishing after 1000 grit, this is only the beginning. You’ll then want to cut at 2000 grit and then again at 3000 grit, THEN introduce the polish. The extra steps will make a world of difference to the finish.
Hope this helps
