I started my first guitar build in 1997 with the purchase of some timber from an online supplier in Tasmania (I think), a plan and a radius beam from Stewmac, and a saw and some sandpaper from Mitre 10.
Another six months and I reckon I will be done. Can't wait to get started on Number 2.

G'day Jason,
Nice work for your first guitar build.
Looks like life got in the road a bit starting in 1997 and still going?
It is a great pass time and very addictive.
Keep the progress pics coming.

Thanks Alan.
Yep, life got in the way, but I have arrived at a point with more time, tools and ability. Someone pointed out to me that when I finish this I will have an instrument that is both vintage and brand new at the same time. I'd like to make a couple a year, probably mostly acoustics since that is where my musical interests evolved to.

Yup. I harboured the ambitions for, not just years but decades. Finally with more time available I have got into it and it has been as rewarding as I always thought it would be.
Keep building!
Keep building!
