Some time ago when AFT was still trading in Port Melbourne I found a board of dark timber with MATON chalked on it. The guy said it was ordered by Maton guitars but they never picked it up so I could buy it which I did.
I made a chambered solid body using the ( I believe it is African Walnut) timber as a cap.
Any idea where I might get some to build an acoustic?
I think it is different to American Walnut ( I have a new Gibson G45 and the walnut B&S are quite different in colour and grain)
