Courier recommendation

What do you guitar makers use to ship your guitars internationally? In this case to Canada. I always use Australia Post for my mandolins, but the guitar is too big to fit into the maximum package size that Australia Post will accept.

Try Interparcel. They got a ukulele to Mauritius for me last year remarkably cheaply.

I sent a guitar to Alabama a few month back Peter, used Pack Send who use DHL, couldn't have been any better took four days door to door.

I went with Pack and Send. Unfortunately once again I am finding the disadvantage of living out in the sticks. Nothing happens fast here!
Booked with Pack and Send on Tuesday, now Saturday and am still waiting for the pickup truck to arrive. Checked with DHL, has been booked and Toll are supposed to do the pickup. Will probably need to call DHL again next week. This is not the first time this has happened. Last time the excuse was they were having trouble finding truck drivers. Maybe this time it will be their IT hack. I am very grateful for Australia Post, but package is too big this time.

Probably a good idea to take it to the depot yourself to cut out that extra leg of the process Peter, hope it goes well!

I explored that option that Pete is using by going into our local Pack and Send and getting a quote to send an instrument to Hong Kong.

If I packed up my own instrument and dropped it off at the depot then the cost was approximately $100 more than if I booked on line and had one of their contracted couriers like DHL or Toll pick it up from my home at some undetermined time and day.

Absolute madness that makes absolutely no sense to any person.

Nearest Pack and Send is a 3hr drive away so looking at a 6 hr drive there and back, so is not a good option, and from what Alan said might even cost more. Courier delivery has usually been ok here, but pickups have been problematic in the past. Doesn't make any sense.
