Great work Taffy,

I knew we should not have shown you how to post pics, now your showing us up. :D Any chance of a little more detail? I like the looks of the rosette on the cutaway and the slot head is no slouch either.

Cheers

Kim

Back to your sheds, gentlemen and ladies. Taffy is starting to show us up. :D

Glad to see you got the picture thing sorted out Taffy. Nice looking work there. Any chance to get a few shots of your slot head jig. Perhaps a very short picture tutorial in the Tutorial section, so we can all find it down the track.

Hi All
Thanks for your comments much appreciated. Allan, I thought you would like the '000' in the middle. Yep some close ups are here. The slotting jig Allen is a complicated presentaion with many photo's of the building process, and a fair bit of text, bare with me. I've also built a plate bookmatch glueup jig [dedicated] and a neck heal jig for routing angles for setting or resetting neck angle. But for a now some close up pic's.
Evans guitars all have names after gold mines out of the Charters Towers mining history Eg: to name a few already used, Blackjack, Bonnie, Brilliant, Alabama, Annie, Grand Secret and Dawn [ the "000" Image

The photo here are of "Madeleine" It's possibly OM size but not the body shape, Mahogany Back and sides, Sitka top, I do not use plastic bindings if I have the choice so this is H R maple, Inlays are MOP and Abolone. The peghead veneers are Walnut, neck is Mahogany F/board is Jarra.

Thanks for your interest, its good to be able to share after so many years.
Heres Madeliene

Nice work, Taffy!

I really like the little elements on Madeline that give it a sort of aboriginal hint. You have a good eye for design, without going too crazy with embellishments.

Beautiful stuff, Taffy!
That slot head with the two-toned top...what top wood is that?
It's really attractive.
I vote for more pics.

Steve
There are some great woods, down under!
