I'm new to guitar building. It is though about time I did as I bought my first some 40 years ago.

No real reason for this posting except a bit of hand waving (hey guys, I'm here!)

Anybody else building around Christchurch?

My first project is a 12 fret 000, on the lines of a Norman Blake

There are a few NZ builders on here, but I think mostly in the winterless north.... I'm in Auckland.
I started with the idea of building one in my twenties (got fed up with not seeing any good quality lefties on the shops) but it was late forties before I actually managed it. Has been an enjoyable journey.
