Coming to America!

Post by Paul B » Fri Jul 04, 2008 4:16 pm

My company is sending me to Silicon Valley next Monday. I'll be in Mountain View CA for a week as of 7th July. That's right near San Jose, and yes, I do know the way  .

Any of you Yanks in the area want to catch up? Don't know if any of you are from around there, one can but hope. I'll put a post on the OLF as well, may as well spread the net as wide as I can.

Cheers,

Paul

I think Rick Turner is in that neck of the woods Paul.

Santa Cruz is about 40 Km away from San Jose.

Lmi and Allied are just on the other side of San Francisco. So yeah, I'll go look at the redwood forests, Napa Valley, and then stop by Lmi and Allied. Can't wait! Tons of room in the suitcase too!

Paul,

Congrats on the trip you lucky dog.

A word of advice for a friend. When your in your hotel room in the USA, and packing to leave dressing ready for the plane, don't be tempted to make extra room in your suit case for wood by wearing your towels or any other articles of clothing on your head.

From what Tim tells me of his recent visit and the current security tensions at US airports, this could prove to be quite uncomfortable for you and everyone else standing with in a 20 metre radius of you when you go to board the plane.

Cheers

Kim

Must have been Friday, I was referring to Quilted Maple or perhaps some West Coast Spruce. Agree about the urine tho..... The yank brewers use a lot of corn because its cheap but it has bugger all body.

If you have the time and are in San Jose check out the Silicon Valley Mall - you will understand at once where it got it's name........ :D
