The rods have been paid for and were shipped today. Marcia Watts thanks us for our order, and I would recommend buying from them again based on their very prompt service.

I've done up a spread sheet with all our order numbers and cost analysis. It's not pretty but you can get an idea of what's going on and your cost so far. You will still have local postage to contend with. We should see the order in 6 to 10 days, then I've got to get it sorted and in the mail, so bear with me.

Matthew's number of rods is 10.35 because it gives him the correct amount to pay per rod for his 1/4 x 38 which are a bit more than 2 times the cost of the 1/8 x 3/8 rods.

The CF rods have shown up today and I've got them all sorted and ready to package up. They'll be going out before Saturday if I can get the wife to post them for me, or Saturday when I've got the time to do it.

I'll let you all know what your total is when I've got them in the mail.

No worries guys, it's my pleasure.

I don't have Sebastiaan's details, and haven't heard back via PM, so if you see this Sebastiaan, can you contact me with your address so that I can get yours in the mail as well.

Marcia and Jim are very cool, and I got in on the ANZLF group buy for CF rods. Even though I was a bit late in replying to them - I was still working out the details of my floating neck - they offered to sell the rods at the group buy price.

Jim was also helpful with CF newbie info and warnings about splinters.

At my present rate of building (approximately 1 guitar every 25 years), the 3 pairs of rods that I purchased are probably a lifetime supply!

So, thanks Allen for putting this together, and thanks to Jim and Marcia Watts!

After handling all the rods, getting them ready for mailing out, I noticed that my face was really itchy. It was driving me crazy and it felt like an allergic reaction. Turned out to be very fine pieces of carbon fiber that I got on my hands, then transfered to my face. Much worse than working with fiberglass cloth. Take care when working with them.
