Shipping from Spain to Australia. Advice?

Post by simonm » Sat Nov 21, 2015 10:54 pm

I was asked by someone in Australia for advice getting a guitar from Spain to Australia. The source is a small scale Spanish maker who unfortunately has no experience in shipping to the Antipodes. Specifically has anyone here received packages from Spain via the postal service? They Spanish postal service has (supposedly) fast parcel service to Australia at a more reasonable price than (say) Fedex. From Germany I would have no qualms about the post office as DHL is one of their brands and is reliable enough.

If the Spanish mail isn't a problem, then I would say use the postal service. This is how I ship all my instruments to overseas destinations. Lots to Europe, North America and Asia.

Not sure about DHL anymore, although this was only one airport and a few employees.
