It's got a helical cutter head that has 26 HSS inserts but can also be fitted with Carbide inserts for around $90 per 10.
I got this earlier in the week. Rod Octigan also bought one so I'd be interested to see how he's faring with it.
I ran a piece of Celery top through first just to get a feel for the machine. No figure in this so it went through as you'd expect.
Next I tried some highly figured Blackwood. The first time I ran it through their was some chip out but I found if you run it through taking only a minimum off each time that it doesn't chip out even highly figured stuff like this.
Very impressed with the new piece of kit.
