It was a tough question I know.
Here's the answer

Bob will be the winner since he was on the right path.

Good idea for a competition, Steve. Bob, congrats on your victory!
Hey, why don't you post that picture? I have played a bit of that kind of music too, and I make no excuses so here's a shot!

Yup, I'm "Dusty" (also a bit rusty these days, I'm afraid), slinging a 335 with a Bigsby, that was my main guitar for this type of music. We had a fun thread over on OLF with old band pictures a year or two ago, there are some gems in that discussion for sure...

I've got pics Arnt but nothing digital.
I'll have to scan them but yeah, I've got the quiff thing going on.
Are you familiar with Robert Gordon? We used to do a lot of his stuff.
Nice, edgy rockabilly sound out of that SG.

Just for fun, here is a picture of my band - I'm the one on the right.

Actually, that year, it was like I had a Harem. Now, there is another guy playing with us, so I'm not the lone male.

Glad you guys like the hairdo! Actually that is not hair, you all know lead guitarist have really big heads
Bob, no I wasn't familiar with Robert Gordon. I like the playing though. I got into this type of music through Stray Cats in the 80's, and that lead to Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochran Duane Eddy... Never did get a Gretch 6120 though, but a Rian version based on that with TV Jones pickups has been on the to do list for a long time... The rockabilly thing was just something we were messing with for a while, I have played much more contemporary stuff, blues, country, rock 'n roll I guess, on strats, teles and Les Pauls like most people.

Yep, Carolina Renaissance Festival. We've been doing it now for nearly 15 years.
