
The wood consists of ebonized pear wood, mahogany and Alaskan yellow cedar. The burl is a .5mm mahogany veneer on on a substrate.
The herringbone was lots of fun to make, and although I made some wheat that was supposed to run through the middle of the burl, I liked the burl so much that I decided to leave it out.
True to form I almost ruined this when I forgot to tighten the rosette cutter on one of the passes. Luckily I noticed the router bit drifting and I was able to fix it.
