For those who are interested , Mathews timber in Vermont, Melbourne, I heard from a very reliable source that besides their usual stocks they have fresh stocks of Padouk, Zebrano,Bubinga, and Purple heart , the sitka on my last build came from Mathews yard, always worth a look in their racks!!

So anyway i had a chance to get over to Mathews timber yesterday and was lucky enough to pick out a 2.1m length of 200x27 Purple heart, not perfectly quartered but 75degrees on average, will be just fine for some laminations, bindings, head plates etc. They also had some nicely quartered Zebrano but only 4-6x1 boards. I took a pic of my score for show and tell!!
Cheers,,
