Hi from Canberra
Hi from Canberra
Hi everyone. Just a quick intro to let you know who I am. I've been playing classical guitar for over 20 years, and *thinking* about building guitars for quite a few of those. The time has finally come - so am looking forward to converting half the garage into a workshop for the time being, and getting started on build #1.
Away from guitar I recently finished a PhD in anthropology - part for interest, part for an excuse to run around in forests in Asia for a couple of years (might as well research somewhere nice, rather than down a mine shaft somewhere).
Will hopefully be building a few mornings each week before work and evenings too (may get a little chilly over winter!), however with another baby arriving shortly, the timeframe may be flexible this year...

Re: Hi from Canberra
Thanks for the intro Peter and welcome again to the forum. Love to hear of your progress/experiences and maybe a few progress photo's on your first build, it's always useful info for anybody coming along after you with their first build.

Re: Hi from Canberra
Bugga the guitar Peter I want to hear about what you do in Asia. I had dinner a while ago with two fellas, one was the son of the man who found the lake Mungo skulls and the other was another doctor of anthropology. While I had the chance I got the conversation onto H. floresiensis. I ended up leaving with a couple of borrowed text books to read.
