So far Ive been running VA on a mac laptop via a Windows emulator. It works but theres a fair bit of file shuffling involved.
Yesterday I was down at my local PO and they had an HP laptop on special for $399 with a bag. I took the plunge and I now have a dedicated machine for my tap testing etc.
The machine comes with Windows 8 which is a piece of crap but for the price I paid Ill put up with it.
