Here's some pictures of my first instrument, a Tasmanian Blackwood Tenor Uke (Hana Lima plans).

I need to call out that Tim at Australian Tonewoods (one of the anzlf preferred vendors) was very helpful when it came to supplying all the materials and also very generous in providing guidance and assistance. Thanks again Tim. Please check out his website.

My next projects will be Fender Strat andTele replica's then a nice steel string acoustic.

Looks awesome mate! What timber did you go for on the neck, rosette, bindings etc? and what method did you use to attach the neck?

Hi Col. Neck is QLD maple, fretboard I actually don't know... It was an offcut that Tim had lying around his shop, it has a lovely stripy figure in it, suspect it could be Mulga but I could be wrong. Bindings were again off cuts tbd, the rosette was hand (router) cut from Huon Pine.

Great work Robert looking forward to seeing what you do with the strat and teli builds...Could not agree more re; Australian Tonewood. I reckon we're lucky to have someone so generous making such great wood readily available to the craft.
