Been looking for a candidate trial guitar...

Post by nnickusa » Mon Jul 15, 2013 1:49 pm

and found this one on eBay. According to the seller, the top has a "small crack that doesn't affect playability."

Wouldn't let me grab the photo off the listing.

Offered him $20.

Well worth 20$ - depending on the brand of the strings and if they are new.

For Sale....top is like new apart from a few cracks behind the bridge. Neck is also lifting a little but should respond to a tweak of the truss rod.

:lmao :lmao :lmao

I always find the descriptions used in eBay listings interesting. I suspect, with more effort than it's worth, a quite humourous book could be derived simply cutting and pasting the descriptions and the relevant photos....

Believe it or not...this was a guitar someone posted me in the hope I could do a repair job on same. The postage was $30.....more than the guitar was worth. I refunded the guy the postage, harvested the tuners and chucked the rest of the wreckage in the garbage bin.

And in case anyone is wondering......the instrument was left leaning against a wall at a party.

I bet Martin could have sold it even with posting the photo and after having harvested the tuners and 5 bridge pins (no chance to sell it with only one missing pin though). :dri
