Some of my not wood work

Post by DarwinStrings » Sat Jun 15, 2013 3:50 pm

I did this with a friend, it is in a Catholic primary school. All broken tiles except the border which were cuts. The wall is 3m at the peak and 7m along the curve. Don't ask how many hours are in it as I have no idea.

This is art. I'd love to do something like that one day.

Funny you should mention that Nick. We did another installation at another Catholic primary and part of it was a concrete footpath containing stainless steel text of the "holy spirit gifts"; Wisdom, Understanding, Right Judgement, Courage, Knowledge, Reverence and Wonder & awe. Someone pointed out that we had spelled Judgement wrong and when they did my stomach didn't feel so good. So we researched it again and found that Judgment is the general spelling in a legal sense but Judgement is the general spelling in a religious sense, talk about a sigh of relief I didn't fancy having to bust up that concrete and do it over.

Hi Jim,

Great work and it shows the artistry you display in your guitar builds.

Cheers

Great work Jim. Using your hands in a variety of creative outlets will always improve your results in any individual one. I paint/draw etc and have always enjoyed having plenty of outlets. I also don't sleep very much so I need something to do in the wee hours!

These are some of my watercolours and drawings.

Go ahead Martin, make me feel like a talentless hack! Absolutely beautiful work and the detail in your water colours, second to none!
I'll just quietly in the corner here and marvel at the artistic talent we have on the forum.

If you keep drawing birds like that Martin I am going to lose my wife to you. Now how do I hide this thread from her.
