Hi all,
On the current build, I was planning to do a more elaborate laminated neck than normal. It was/is going to be Walnut | white fiber | bloodwood | white fiber | walnut. I've seen similar examples on the forum here, and really like the look.
But now that I've actually bought the fiberboard, I am concerned about the material's strength. It just seems like a heavy paper -- not at all what I'd expect in a neck.
For those of you who have used this stuff in necks: is it strong enough to hold the neck together just as it comes? Or is there something that needs to be done to it before I use it?
Thanks!

Paul ,this might help. Not familiar with the fiber. How easy is it to separate with a chisel?

Thanks for the link Bill. That's what I was afraid of -- a failed joint. I'll glue up a test piece and see if it does the same thing.
