Some sound samples

Post by martintaylor » Mon Mar 11, 2013 12:34 am

I didn't know where to post this but thought this would do.

A friend came around today to record a few samples of 3 of my guitar builds. All three have pickups, 2 with LR Baggs iBeam Active and one with LR Baggs Element Active. All 3 were recorded with the pickups and were also recorded with a Behringer CU1 USB Condenser mic straight into Garageband. It was good to get some idea of the comparison. The recordings were just quick takes but I thought it was good to start testing things.

Nice sound clips Martin and a tidy bit of playing. I found that even the Baggs M1 soundhole PU I've used (It's a Takamine Triax actually but is really a re-branded LR Baggs M1 in black) sounds very warm and full when compared to other SH PU's on the market. Did you record anything unplugged with that condenser mic?

Cheers

Kim
