Had to show you guys this shipment of Heart Rimu I just got today.
Has to be some the most freakish Rimu I have ever seen. I had my milling guy scouring the country for the better part of this year trying to find the right tree, all sustainably milled incase you were wondering.
Brazilian Rosewood pish I say. Look at this.

This sort of grain, I'd be interested myself Christian! Is this from North Island foresting? Most of the South Islands stands are now off limits as far as I can remember hearing sometime ago

Thanks Christian, I would love to build a bass using that combo, but my first priority is to build a dry room as the dry box I am using with dehumidifying eggs, although works, is not good enough in my opinion.

Good thinking on the dryroom, I just finished an acoustic with this combo and it has a massive sound, huge midtones and bass response.let me know if you need any advice.

Just to let you guys know the Rimu is officially dry fillet stacked, and will need another month or so, to get the moisture level down to a point I'm happy to start breaking them down into sets.
So I won't be putting any up for sale for a bit. I'm thinking becuase of the quality and size the sets will be $AU170.00 each including head veneers.
