A Newbie G'day

G'day All,

My names Gavin, Live southern Sydney and now on the wrong side of 40

Love the forum, have browsed frequently in the past and thought I should really join.

Been playing my whole life and have been pulling it all apart to see how it works for nearly as long (guitars/amps/fx). Sometimes even got them back together !!!

Have made a few solid body electrics but more into the repair and set up side. Started as I said on my own stuff and got into 'case of beer' or '6 pack' jobs for mates & friends and it just went from there. Back into it now after a hiatus due to the dreaded divorce!!!

Fantasy is to pack in the day job and do it full time but reality is i need to eat so that aint gunna happen!!

Look fwd to sharing and hopefully helping!!!

The wrong side of 40....when youre making guitars it doesnt matter how old you are.

I think many of us would love to do this for a living.....but you better have a partner with a really good job if you want to do any sort of "living".
