Local builder/video slideshow acoustic lap steel

I just stumbled across this slideshow which features a guitar built buy a friend of mine, so I thought I'd share as its a closer style than my work to what the majority on this site does and he's a fello Aussie doing what he loves. He makes fabulous guitars and is a genuine good bloke.

That's cool

I managed to catch Jeff Lang at the broadbeach blues festival a few months ago and he is phenomenal on those things. I personally haven't had the chance to play one but it has always been at the back of my mind to get (or build) one some day. I love the stuff that Jack Rose does on an acoustic lap steel.

BBK - you're right, they're all talented guys. Good at what they do.

I'll be honest - I'm not an acoustic player myself, but I have admiration for anyone who does build them well (I've seen some dogs and I've seen some that are masterclass!) . I know all of the guitars I've played that David had built are excellent and the lap steels are just another example of the guys craftsmanship.
