Hello,
I have been lurking in this wonderful forum for a few months. Trying to absorb 10% of the great information here. I have not built a guitar before, just some woodworking years ago now. I have not had a house or workshop for the past several years due to work relocating me to different locations. I would like to build a 00. I am looking into a few options including getting enough hand tools at my apartment or spending my saturdays at Gerard Gilet's school. I hope to grow into a contributing member once I get started.
Thanks,
Dale

G'day Dale
It is great that you are wanting to jump in and make a start. If you don't have a space or tools at the moment you might do well to make your first guitar at Gerard's workshop. I have struggled along and learned stuff alone by trial and error. I have not been involved in his school but I have dropped in there a few times on a saturday to buy wood or tools, and to pick Gerard's brains for free (he is very tolerant of this sort of free-loading). The people I have seen there doing the supervised builds are clearly developing real chops and most of them are making great instruments. Welcome to the forum, and jump in and ask/comment early and often.
cheers

Great to have all these fresh, keen faces around to keep us old buggers on our toes. Welcome to the forum Dale.
