Hello,

I've had guitar building on my bucket list for a long time. My building interest is small guitars -
perhaps 0 size. I noticed the forum and the friendly input, so decided to check in.

My woodworking skills and knowledge are very out of date, so I think their ramping up will be my
first challenge. My background is metalsmithing of various sorts, so I'm used to 'looking at' things
(some would probably say, 'like the lawn mower and vacuum') and giving my patience a workout.

I look forward to learning and sharing where I can.

Welcome along to the forum Sam, good to have new people coming on board and adding their slant on this addictive hobby. Even if you haven't built guitars before you'll no doubt have a way of thinking about things that differs from others so it all goes into the ANZLF pot of knowledge so don't be scared to ask questions or chip in with comments...oh.......... and photo's! .

Nick, I appreciate the warm welcome and I hope we have a chance to meet up one day. I have a dulcimer
that has been under construction for nearly 40 years! I'm sure it's some type of endurance record, if not
a personal best! I'll get stuck into it and see where I go from there. Cheers, S

Welcome Sam, i've had a photo of a dulcimer that i intended to build for about 18 years but never got around to it. I'm on my 8th guitar now, it is very addicting.
