Tasty ukulele (no cookie monsters involved)

Post by charangohabsburg » Wed Aug 29, 2012 8:26 am

This has nothing to do with the cookie monster's ukulele (sesame street).

These are the digitalised leftovers of one of my latest fun projects (two weeks ago):

Image

Materials

Body: pan-fried aubergine
Bridge: raw chillies (not too sharp or you will have intonation problems)
Strings: zucchini strips (sauté), stretched with Photoshop
Neck: with Photoshop cut out ukulele neck
Glue: Photoshop
Varnish: unsharp mask in Photoshop

Sound sample: miam! (non edible neck & tuners)
Lifespan of the instrument: ca. 20 minutes

Nice one Markus, your handy with that photoshop.
I'm sitting here with one of my children and he looks up and spots the edible instrument and says

" Woa! whats that, some kind of old as guitar ?? "

I'm thinking how do I explain this ?? as I'm laughing

Heston Blumenthal and his diners would be very proud of that dish Markus

Glad you liked it!

Thank you Steve. Certainly you are right: only few cooks know how to deal with Photoshop!

Well I didn't mention it and of course you can't see it, but between the bridge and the neck, beneath the strings there is an original Swiss cheese hole (one of these here).
