Hi all
I finished this one a couple of months ago but with being both busy and lazy at the same time, I've just gotten around to taking some pics today.
It's Blackwood top, back, sides, bridge patch and neck
Minerichi ( I think that's how you spell it ) fretboard, bridge, bindings, rosette and headstock veneer, all from Tim Spittle.
Bracing and sound hole patch are Sitka.
It's starting to settle in nicely and produce some good volume now.
I'm very happy with it.

Great looking uke Matt.
I really like the transition between the heel and body and your eclipse symbol on the back. Just a great combination of woods all round.

Great combo Matt, the coffee chocolate hues of Minerichi binding really bring out that beautiful Blackwood.
Does the Blackwood neck give this uke an even weight balance, or, top heavy?
Just as a matter of interest, what is the total grams?

The Minerichi does work well with the blackwood, shame I don't have anymore
Gaz the neckwood was actually fairly light, certainly lighter than similar sized Queensland Maple that I have. I don't know the total weight but I'll throw it on the scales when I get home this afternoon and get back to you.

Gaz this one weighs in at 593g. I don't know if that's considered light or heavy for a tenor but the first one I made come in at 684g and the second at 648g.

Excellent! Thanks Matt, I've decided to take a similar line with all Blackwood build for one of the young nephew's, but ,concerned the B/w neck may have been top heavy, he's built like spaghetti, fairy fine 
so I'll chuck myself in the deep end & go for it !!
Quest: Lightest playable tenor uke, if Kumalae can do the soprano, ANZLF should have a crack at the tenor title!!!?
