
...anyway I found these....they are called a white charcoal pencil and they are much harder and take a nice sharp point and make a nice clear mark....just what the luthier ordered I think!

Thanks Richard, I did a bit of surfing after John brought this thread up & found an online kiwi artists supplies that stocked these, so I ordered a dozen. Funny though, if I'd been offshore the delivery estimate was quicker than I'll get them in the South Island.seeaxe wrote:Hi Nick

I havent been in that one, but I would hazard a guess that you will find all sorts of white pencils (pretty sure I have seen them sold individually) in there plus many other wonderful goodies that you will find hard to resist.
