Bridge pins look crooked...holes not straight? Saddle looks a bit slanted as well.

No fret markers?

Headstock looks like its been painted black.....doesnt really go with the nicely silked spruce top and the fancy purfs

Don't know the tuning but the temperament is 'unusual' and would not suit your usual standard six-string tuning but ..

Pins and break angle look out but that can be in the pic process?

Yep, my sentiments exactly. Its one of those unusual temperaments the one that involves a bottle of beer whilst your cutting the slots.

Hick shish thats close enough, closer wider closer wider man this is too hard to work out........

One last photo and then Ill call it quits, I took about 70 photos of all the things wrong, if it was a chinese guitar Id say yeh you know its not bad for a $300 guitar, but you can times that by 40 for the price the owner supposedly paid for this one

Yep, thats what they say,

I looked up the builder and there costings on this guitar without shipping base model price was 4k-ish, so I can only take the owner at there word, even 4k you got to be kidding me for that

Well, at least the strings are shiny, maybe that would malke you miss the exceptionally accurate inlay work. Jeez, even I dress the frets after levelling....

12K worth on firewood for the chiminea.....Are the bridge pin holes too big? looks like the pins are a wee bit loose...

I hope I never build one like that.....
I wish I was half the man my dog thinks I am....

Cheers,
Nick

There is something seriously pear-shaped somewhere within this threads recipe.

It just screams quality doesn't it. Yes the pin holes are too big and drilled at the wrong angle

That being said I like my new camera

When I saw the first two pictures I thought "just acceptable for a 500$ guitar". But for 4k I would expect that the bridge did not bleed out into the spruce top, and I would prefer no inlay over one with cloudy ebony edges. The not dressed fret ends over the top's bass side don't matter, you never will touch them with your fingers while playing. And the tilted headstock... oh well, call it a feature.

These are just some of the problems Ive shown above, there are plenty more which just dumb found you when you look at it.

I wasnt going to post any more but

Heres a close up of the bridge pin holes

Im not trying to take the piss out of the builder but youve got to have pride in your work, youve got to have some hand skills

Theres a difference in making a guitar for yourself and then wholesaling on a commercial scale your product.

Yes, forgot to mention the nice big bridge pin holes. And the very nice bridge pins themselves.
As I alluded before, 4k for this item is a bad joke unless its sound is such a killer that appearance and long-term functionality really don't matter. Or maybe there's a good sounding name behind that and people just want to pay that much.

The bridge pins. The black dots on top have a small extension on one side.....shouldn't all the "extensions" be pointing in the same direction. Are these "extensions" lined up with the slots on the pin shafts???

Looks to me like the pins are sticking out because someone hasn't aligned the slots with the strings

P.S.
I further think that these pins are not pushed all the way down. Very bad, indeed!

Thats because the slots arent properly aligned with the strings

No, I think the uppermost part of these pins should be flush with the bridge surface. Just make those holes a bit bigger!
