It looks great, what a lovely looking wood.
I think the type of binding you want to use depends on the rest of the design package; rosette, purfling, neck woods and so on. I'm building a ziricote guitar now, and I’m going with a ‘black and white’ theme. It has a fairly wide white sap wood area on the back, and I’m using curly ash for the neck to sort of continue the white against the dark. I also cut bindings and purflings from the same woods, so it is all either curly ash or ziricote. Like Dave, I also love the look of “self boundâ€

I think I agree with gratay and Kim, I mean, you were saying good things, right?
Wow Bob! That jaw-dropper will be a show-stopper. Be sure to photograph it a lot, from many angles, in several types of light (including outdoors on an overcast day, if you get lucky) before you let it walk away from you. Even photos of that guitar will launch a thousand ships.
Good luck getting it all done for the show, and we'll understand if you don't post much until the show is over.

Thanks folks.
This one ain't going nowhere. It's a keeper.
Koa would have the same effect as the Blackwood Dennis. And there's no "z" in Tasmania.
Sorry, one of my pet hates seeing as though I'm two headed.
Dave - you know how slowly time goes when you're stuck in an airport. This is the opposite.
