I wouldn't be getting texts from my son asking if we were stopping on our way home and if so could I pick him up his usual. When asked how many I get a reply of "Lots ".

Here you go Allen http://www.fredopies.com.au/ It’s not all that far from Cairns, You should be able to do a round trip in 3 days, well worth it , I believe that they check the pastries monopole mobility and have mass added to the sides to prevent that spill down the front of your shirt.

First off, the fluids. For each pie consumed you need one of these..

You need all 6 to properly flush the dogs eye through your system....if you've been on a one to one ratio then that's probably what you've been doing wrong.

And now for the exercise....being in the USA you will need to go here.

Now it won't hear you so you can say whatever you like without hurting its feelings...I find swearing between lines helps me think of what to say next, but the tip is that it must be 'LOUD'.

If your doing this properly big veins will stand clearly visible on your neck and forehead. This is a sure sign that back pressure and Boags have combined successfully and are now moving bits of pie through your system efficiently. Remember, pie eating is a huge responsibility and carelessness carries 'heavy' consequences.

Kim, you are always looking out for my best interest. I knew I could count on you to help me out. I have been indulging of late, but the lager I have taken a shine to is Wild Blue. Its different enough that the Ryan doesn't make them disappear when I bring one or two home.
Did I tell you I played rugby in college. Was talked into it halfway through the season to fill out the roster. I survived the final five games. I was so shocked to find out that there were women out there that made me look delicate and dainty who where on the Russian Olympic team.

I'm sorry, but there is something you are all missing here.

If there is ANY meat in those pies Lillian is eating then they wont come from Oztrayler, they will be from UN ZUD!!

Its a known and proven fact that the Ockers cannot make a decent meat pie to save their lives and succesive governments have legislated to minimise the amount of meat you can actually put in an offically Ocker pie.

Un Zud on the other hand makes pies of truly orgasmic goodness and they have real meat in them, not just a few dollops of vaguely meat coloured "gravy", more reminiscent of stiffly whisked wombat p**s than any thing to do with the Sunday Roast.

The next post you will read will no doubt be from some outraged Ausurino claiming its all lies, yadda, yadda, yadda, but I know this to be true, for I have conducted extensive research, on a scale only before seen in the US medical research fraternity. I once travelled to Australia and I consumed a "pie", (clearly a fully representive sample of all ozpies).

I have not made the same mistake again. I now buy all my pies exclusively from Un Zud.

Lillian, if you do every travel to the Lucky Country, and I hope you do, then you can look forward to seeing some wonderful woods, breathtaking beers and loquacious luthiers, but if its pies you are after, hang a left at Honolulu and head down here.

I like your accurate description Richard and I believe the official Aussie specifications for a meat pie are that "It must contain no more than 12% meat" So what the other 82% consists of?!... gawd only knows.
Your 'pot' pie description Lillian sounds similar to the english style pork pie where you have a thick crust & a dirty great solid lump of meat in the guts? If you want those in the antipodes then McGregors (http://mcgregorsbakery.co.nz/mcgregors-famous-pies.html) Mutton pie's have to be high on your adgenda. But even our other pies are far better than the 'roo filled offerings you get across the Tassie Lillian. Us Kee Wee's make an art form of the humble pie to the extent that we have a national pie contest every year where we have a panel of experts who's job it is to seek out the fairest pie in the land.

Richard the Aussie pies that you are describing sound like the pot pies I grew up with. Mom got 20 for a dollar when they were on sale. I prayed I'd get a chicken pot pie when she was passing them out for dinner. The beef was seriously nasty. All of them were made from some sort of dough that was any thing but light and fluffy. But they were cheap and she can honestly tell my dad we had meat and veggies for dinner when he finally got home and sat down for his dinner, which wasn't pot pies.

Nick, those McGregor's pies sound like one and the same as the ones we can get here. Our menu is just a bit limited, which is to be expected. Mutton isn't overly popular here. Which is a shame, but true.
