Almost 6 months in time and a lot of headaches but it's all done now. Wayne

Really nice work there Wayne. And 6 months would be a quick job in my workshop!
I love the look of cocobolo, and your piece really has it all going on. Unfortunately I have developed a bad sensitivity to it, but I am jealous of those who can use it for nice looking instruments like this one. That is an interesting body shape - I bet it has a big voice? Is that your own design or from a plan that I haven't seen before?
I also like the bindings - is that more cocobolo, or a different wood?
Happy Australia Day one and all - I am really appreciating the day off!

OK, I found your previous post - Koa bindings and end graft. Nice combo. All round good result.

Well done Wayne she came up a treat..you may not be overly thrilled by your experience working cocobolo, but reward is certainly there in the way it looks.
Luv the the grain in that back set, coco is the most 'wood looking' wood of all IMO.
Cheers
Kim

Thanks for the comments guys, coco is hard to glue and prone to cracking but it does look and sound nice. Yes Mark that's my design and it does have big voice. Wayne

Very nice indeed Wayne. Nice workmanship there also mate! I know you have had some issues building this one so you must be chuffed with the outcome. I bet she is a cannon
I have a similar dready with no cutaway ready for the finish process. I used the Stew Mac plan and some Indian Rosewood with a Sitka top.
Thanks for sharing
Cheers

Thanks Alan, the guy i built it for loves it, he says it's way louder than his other acoustics, so it's great for him and very satisfying for me as the builder. Wayne
