Hi, I am new here, want to say hello.
Hi Down Under,
my name is Alex, I am 33, studied guitarmaking in Germany, where i was also born and am living and working.
I worked with Ervin Somogy, Stefan Hahl http://www.hahl-guitars.com, as a teacher for guitarmaking in Norway, as a repairmen for
http://www.musicstore.de and currently earn (most of) my money at http://www.mehling-wiesmann.de. Beside this, I have my workshop.
I am reading here already for a while, and now I thought it is time to say hello.

Welcome to the forum !!!! I think I can speak on behalf of the folk on here and say Holy S*#T you have worked with Ervin Somogyi !!!! that is amazing what a privilege. Some awesome looking tonewood you have there.

Welcome to the forum Alex, a slightly different 'colonial' feel to this forum but far less formal & we don't take ourselves too seriously, so once you get used to the humour I hope you enjoy hanging out here. Sounds as though you know what you're doing around guitars (

Nice, very very nice, exactly my kind of humor (not avarage for Germans at all....)
This Punk Boy is Paolo, our wood-sales agent from Italy, I will send him this pictures immediatelly, no one of us ever noticed that he has a very buisness like haircut...it was on a fair in Cologne.
