As I said in an earlier post there are projects hiding around my shop that got "shelved" for various reasons. Here are some of them.
A solid body nylon guitar with Cedar top and Meranti body
A mountain dulcimer
3-4 mandolins
A solid body electric using all Radiata Pine.
They must back go back 20 years or so. That's what mixing repairing instruments with building will do, time gets harder to find to get back to them, unless I get a customer who might request something that's already started, then I'm happy. But often they order something different.

Will Bunnies be joining our list of preferred tone wood suppliers?

Re: Another Radiata Pine project
Good one Jim.
Trouble will be getting an assistant to help pull all the unsuitable timber to get to the one half way down the rack that has the good grain....and then putting it all back.
"can I help you sir"? "yes I'll have those two down there please" That's how I buy from none tone wood suppliers, they think I'm crazy and don't know what I'm looking for anyway.
I remember, at the old Alice Springs Timber and Joinery shed 30-40 years ago, looking up at the roof and I spied what looked like roof beams, at closer inspection it turned out to be large boards of Cedar, I bought them and I'm just about at the end of it now. It's made some nice sounding guitars over the years.

Ha! I am surprised they don't spot you coming and head for the smoko room Taffy, I am sure that is why I can never find them.Taffy Evans wrote:
