Book Launch - Canberra Friday 18 November

At 6.30 pm at Beyond Q Bookshop/Coffee Lounge in Curtin, Fiona Boyes, blues singer/guitarist,
will launch the book " Guitar - The Australian Journey " by Chris Johnson.

Chris is a political journalist in his day job and his alter-ego collects vintage guitars and plays
a mean blues/slide guitar.

The book is a blend of history, interviews and personal encounters with some
eminent luthiers and musos across a wide range of genres. It also details the
construction of a guitar by Jack Spira commissioned by Chris.

(Chris is a personal friend of mine, other than that I have no vested interest in the book.)

Hey Bruce, What date is this opening? There is also one of these at the Guitar Shop in Bungendore on 19th Nov 12.00 to 2.00pm and more around the country. Sounds like an interesting history of guitars in Australia.
