Nice Craig,
I'm a big fan of Blackwood with Blackwood binding , I got some really nice stuff from Tim with BWB purf's , those look great, understated and elegant, I love the Colour of your label just visible through the soundhole, I think you have inspired me to make a Blackwood uke, bet they look even better in the flesh with the light bouncing of the Figure !!
Cheers,

Re: Blackwood Concert Ukes
Here's an impromptu recording the owner of the "uke with the mulga fretboard" sent me.
He was in the studio for some guitar work & took along the uke at the last minute.
At some stage he started to play , & the bass player joined in.
That's all I know.
Hope you enjoy it - I did

Yes, I enjoyed listening to that well played little tune (the uke has such a wonderful mellow tone), and I enjoyed to look again at those beautiful ukes.
It must feel great to listen to your own built instrument being played by a "real" musician (that is not you yourself in case you are a "real" musician - I am not).

Hey Craig, great little tune on a great sounding uke...'very' clever use of woods as well mate. I really like how you've allowed the chatoyancy in the BW to speak out so well in this pair. I particularly like the restrained use figured meranti appointments in uke 2 but must my taste prefers the size of the rose on uke 1. Of course that is simply my own taste and you certainly have your own that is finely tuned enough to consistently produce some very classy work...well done mate.
