back sawn sets

Hi,

I noticed ebay is filled with back sawn guitar sets.
There are plenty of lovely looking brazilian sets out there but they are nearly all backsawn, cocobolo and african blackwood as well.

Then there is really good cheap Indian rosewood on the quarter perfectly.

Are many people using the back sawn sets?
The would look great but how do they sound and hold up?
