G'day everyone, I was wondering if anyone can tell me how, (or is it on you tube?) to get the binding and purfling to follow the contours of an armrest bevel and scooped cutaway nicely along the top and along the sides.

First, welcome to the forum Inoz (got a real name? we're a friendly bunch around here and don't bite...much 
). I've never made bevel guitars so can't answer first hand but from what I've seen most make the bevels from the same material as the binding you are using so that it 'runs' into the area and blends relatively unseen, or they 'cap' the bevel with a veneer of the same timber as the binding. I think Chris Paulick has a video (in the tutorial section I believe) on bevels so try doing a forum search there to start with. Jeffery Yong (member's name is JJ Model) does some very tasty bevel & cutaway scoop work so he may chip in here, otherwise you could try a PM to him.

Hi Inoz, Thats an interesting looking finish on the scratchplate and scoop...I'd like to know what it was. I haven't made an arm bevel yet either...still in the to do list:) Good looking guitar!...and Welcome!

John, That was just a piece of plastic film backing that was scrap from work that I thought would work OK on a trial guitar that could have turned ugly.
and Steve, Yes that's my attempt at a flying buttress, again just because it was a trial guitar, but it even so this one sounds the best one yet.
