That very much depends on my patience and tolerance levels for failure. The veneering on the neck shaft took at least 3 attempts to get right. Unfortunately looking at the back of the neck and the back of the pegbox and bearing in mind my totally anal approach to building I dont really have much choice do I?Clancy wrote:Does the back of the pegbox get the stripey treatment too?

I know this is probably not very important, but I'm just curious: which woods did you use for the neck core and pegbox frame? I think centuries ago it was quite common to use very light wood (conifers) for the neck core.
