Easy DIY dremel router base

I was comparing dremel router bases and I found this. I have a spare enlarger and a dremel. I will make it in the morning.

Nice easy solution, can't see from the piccies Martyn, but would it have any provision for "fine Adjustment" i.e some sort of thread to adjust it either up or down?
It's just I've used something similar in the past & the air turned blue as I tried to get the depth of cut just right. One minute it was going to cut too shallow so I'd loosen the clamp off & try moving it down a knat's foreskin but Murphy would intervene & it would be a smidge too much, not much but just enough to piss me off! Quite a few minutes were spent either A: Swearing at the f**king thing or B: adjusting it. A simple thread can do wonders for the blood pressure!

Yes it has 2 parallel rods that the lens travels up and down, one of which i threaded with a knurled nut to adjust the height.
I am going to add locking nuts too. It looks way sturdier than the dremel 1 that I saw in Bunnings.
It also has a nice meaty bit at 1 end with a threaded hole. That will come in handy I bet.
I found the enlarger at the dump and grabbed it as a spare many years ago.
I will put photos up before lunch.

Cheap! Hahaha! But not the one that's part of my photo equipment! Well, mine is not made in Czechoslowakia and it's not rusty either. Nice idea though if one has the material handy . Photographic equipment certainly can provide plenty of precision.

This is what I started with.

I added this ply to the top. The grinding was done before I found it.

The knurled nut rubs an locks against the top of the ply.
This took some play out.
It is a very tight fit but I added a bottom too.

I changed the post to a thread and added 2 locking nuts.
I ran out of time waiting for the glue to dry.
There will be a 3rd bolt at the front so that I can lock the height at 3 places.

Is that the original Black Stump in the background or just some charring from a project that went bung. This Glenn Innes sounds/looks like a formidable recycling redoubt. Can't wait for a good straight-forward country sort out of this CNC precision crap.
