I have finished joining my plates 2 backs and another top done but I saved this 1 till last because of the unusual shape.
I also had uneven thickness too. Unusual shapes call for unusual clamps. Note the clamp from an old washing machine wringer and the railway line, gravity clamp. It all seems to have worked out.
