A sad loss...I've never been a big rocker but I loved this guy's licks.

Re: Gary Moore dead at 58
That is sad news. I spent many hours listening to Gary Moore play guitar. I reckon he was one of the first players to turn blues into rock. I loved his playing dynamics and a tone to die for. He was the same age as myself so it really hits home.
Sad day!

You beat me to it. Another great Irish guitarist gone (I miss Rory Gallagher too).
Spent many a teenage hour blasting out the 'Boys are Back in Town' harmony solo with a friend. Even managed to convince a local priest that Parisienne walkways was a religious song
and got to play it during the communion procession in Church way back before I decided that having an invisible friend was best left to the kids.
RIP Gary. Yourself and Phil did a lot for Irish rock, and helped us as a country bat way above our league on the international scene.

RIP Gary, had more soul in those fingers of his than most people have in their whole body.

Nice to hear in church but not in a Mexican prison.

Thanks for that Nick.......
Moore had a great voice as well as being able to belt out a haunting riff on his guitar.
