When TimS Comes to Town :-)

Post by John Maddison » Thu Jan 06, 2011 2:48 pm

G'day All

A few of us Great Southern makers got together at Peter Young's place last Tuesday when Tim Spittle made a flying visit to Albany. It was a great afternoon where Tim made a few more sales; we were treated to some of our newer instruments being strummed (made predominantly from Tim's tonewoods), and we downed a few ales while enjoying the camaraderie & good cheer. I'm continually inspired by these kinds of get-togethers (a few of us meet every Saturday at Pete's); it's an extremely rewarding way of furthering our knowledge-base of lutherie and sharing our build tips along the way.

Looks like a hell of a lot of fun John. Wish I could have been there.
