I ordered a Pattern Makers vise from Woodworkers Supply after I read about the sale price here on the ANZLF. I had to go half way around the world to find out about a sale in my back yard. My arms are really tired from swimming all that way.
And it arrived on my doorstep today. The first thing I plan to do is glue some leather to the face of the stock pads for extra grip and cushioning. I'd like to see some ideas other owners have for custom jaws for it.

The wooden jaws supplied with my vice were stained with the oil they must have doused the vice in to stop corrosion during shipping. I made up another pair from red cedar and faced them with 8mm cork. I did a French Polishing session on the top of a current build classical with the instruments neck clamped in the new jaws and it all worked a treat....
