You'll be very welcome to stay here, Keegan ... offer still stands. Hope your liver holds up with the likes of Kim & Bob also here during PM10  .

If you have an instrument and can strum a few chords during evening sing-a-longs, even better!! Are you still planning on bringing your uncle & caravan, or will you be needing floor space?

Cheers

yep uncle and caravan is the go might be a late additional person but i'm doubting it but i will get in touch with you if that doesn't work out. i can play a bit my uncle is good too he's been playing for 15 years? something like that i can't be sure exactly but nonetheless he is good. I play a bit of lap slide too which i've just started getting into lately but i dabble a bit.

I'm sure i can try my best to keep up with these fella's in the liver department!

thanks again John, looks like its gonna be quite a weekend! :)
Keegan.

Goodo, Keegan, lap slide, eh? great ... you'll probably get to meet local ANZLF members Pete Young & Maurice Howlett while you're here. Pete has recently built a Weissenborn so hopefully he brings that along to any 'celebration' events ... sounds like we'll have our own private concert! I'll be posting more info re: PM10 closer to the date as it comes to hand.
ps - your friend is more than welcome to crash here too ... and bring anything you're building that you want for show 'n' tell, even if it's a work in progress. Cheers for now ...

Hi TimS, Bob, Allen, Kim & Keegan
Just heard from Rod Vervest today that due to late flight arrival bookings that were made for a number of presenters the Opening Night event planned for 6pm on the Friday night has been cancelled. So, it's drinks & food here at 4 Bromley Court, Lower King that night and we then get stuck into the presentations on the Saturday morning. Have also invited a few of the local makers over for a jam on the Saturday night after the Playmakers Concert. Pack the Baroccas.

Keegan - take a note these numbers in case you get stuck finding the place ... 9844 1312 or 0427 883 654. I'm planning to flexi off the Friday to help set up the venue in the morning then to head home and greet early arrivals in the afternoon. Cheers all

Keegan - flick me a PM with your mailing address and I can send you a street map of Albany & surrounds.

Looking forward to catching up with all you guys again. I should mention that I had some uke lessons at the Albany Summer School a few weeks back, so if you know any songs with C, G, Am, F and G7 in 'em then I (might) just be joining in the jam this year ... I can almost keep up with 'Wish You Were Here' .

I'd really like to bring a guitar along as per Kim's request, but I'm far too concerned of their ability to withstand Qantas baggage handling, so will bring the Tiger Myrtle Uke. At least it fits in the overhead.

Do we need an email campaign to Rod about the pallet of Becks?

Yeh i'd love to see one of your guitars too Allen but i'd have to agree with you there. something that would worry me too is the stupid dude throwing my guitar around cause he doesn't care two bits. Scary thoughts.

Well i'll have certainly have a bo peep at your uke though!

Will do John.

Have spoken with Rod this afternoon (28 January) and he is happy for anyone coming to Playmakers to display their instruments as we did last year ... they can be for 'Display Only' or indeed, for sale, so you may like to bring one or more. Although the theme is The Resonator there are many other types of instruments that will be featured throughout the weekend. Rod mentioned that Lucky Oceans is bringing some Vintage Resonators to exhibit.

Re: Becks Beer, I think we're on our own this year but I'll be stocking the fridge shelves with at least one slab of same to get the ball rolling .

Glad Australia Post is still providing an excellent service! What's the latest re caravan & your gueetar-playing uncle ... is it still happening?, or will you need a few floorboards inside to sleep on? Let me know.

All shelves Keegan ... all shelves. Will be installing a 2nd fridge for the weekend, just for Bob & Kim's stock of exotic beer(s)

Well maybe if you've got the floor space we won't worry about the caravan? if its easier for you though we can do that?

its still just us two and thats it so yeh whatever is easiest for you then. Let me know what you reckon. Saves us towing the caravan for four hours down to there!

Cheers
Keegan.

Will grab a couple of extra mattresses from friends, Keegan ... if you can each bring a sleeping bag or doona, and your favourite pillow, you're in! ... cheers

Looks like your getting things all set up and under control John. I had to dig out the long pants and blow the cob webs off of the polar fleece in anticipation of the cold. See you Friday.

John, I trust that is an example of the fridge you have installed next to each bed to see your guest through those short but rather dry spells away from more serious quenching?

Cheers

Perhaps. I've got family here from Canada right now and they're nearly dying, while we think it's been a bloody marvellous week of only 34. Not even enough to work up a light sweat.
