Semi-hollow neck through Telecaster build

This one went out to Michael(Bassbuilderman on this forum), its new owner early July
This one is a hollow out (with centre core) telecaster.

Qld Maple core , wings and neck through 24 3/4" scale
scarf jointed and 14 degrees headstock angle from memory....
Macassar ebony fingerboard 12" radius and medium frets
Qld walnut bound top and back with front bound f-hole
SD pickups are hot rodded series sh4b and sh2n
Les Paul style controls with toggle on upper bout

Just another beauty off the Bluestone rack Stu. What I really like about your instruments is that each one is so individual, and they're all works of art, with the greatest attention to every detail.

Fantastic work Stu,

I really love the look of this guitar. The neck joint is resolved beautifully and I love that bit of inovation on the truss ros cover. Great selection of timber too.

Bloody beaut Stu, love the workmanship, the timbers and the finish (is there anything I left out?)
How does it sound using the Gibson scale pickup combo? has it still got that Tele "twang" or has it mellowed to something abit more 'ballsy'?

Stu, that is just fantastic. Clearly, you need to build one of those for me as I am also a lefty.

I am curious to know what it sounds like though - I am over the moon with my (deeply substandard compared to that) Lefty Tele, mostly because of the very distinctive sound. Won't two humbuckers make it sound like an LP - or something?

Please post a sound clip and put me out of my misery!!

Michael was going to build this but his personal circumstances
meant he was unable to, hence the reason I got the call. :wink:
I'm glad he did as I hadn't built a tele to date and really enjoyed
the different processes to my other builds. I'm sure he'll chime in.

Jeez ...can't believe I earnt a double-Borat !!

I'm a natural lefty as well so I got to play this a bit. Funnily enough
whether they're right or left handed doesn't make it harder to build as long as I don't stuff up my R's and L's :wink:

Lillian, I'll send it your way and hopefully Michael won't notice.

This geet ended up loaded with flatwounds and had a great jazz feel to it.
You could still pull out a bit of quack but definitely more inline with a typical Gibbo sound.
Soundclips are Michael's dept.

If I was to build another I'd try it with bent sides to see how different things went and because I haven't done that yet.

Seeaxe -Michael is the man to see about soundclips for his axe. You there BBM ?

PaulB - The plans for this I'd drawn from scratch with the only part taken from elsewhere being the tele body shape. Everything was
drawn out on paper then made into templates for this build.
