I took 2 spruce tops, but that is all. It will be interesting to see if they are any good.
Martin, there has been a lot of interest in your wood stash recently and I think there is an important issue to consider - in the light of Sally's recent predicament. We all know that oil rigs are dangerous places. I hope that you have everything well labeled so that your pile can be efficiently distributed among the the deserving brother & sisterhood - in the event of any unfortunate accident. Perhaps it would be best if you posted a complete inventory here so that we can all make bids now. I am sure it would give you some peace of mind.

Martin, have you had any contact with the seller yet. Apparently her name is Anita, Sallywattle is her EBay handle. I sent some emails but have not got any reply. Of course, Coffs Harbour is underwater at the moment so there is probably a good reason why she hasn't been at her computer. I hope she is OK (and that the wood is high and dry!)

Re: Luthiers timbers and other gear - deceased estate on eba
I know this is an old thread but close to home for me.
I knew Vic, the man that owned all this stuff and his wife. Good people.
Its good to see some of the stuff went to like minded people for a fair price
, a lot did not unfortunately.
Vic had WAS and TAS and unfortunately was unable to use all his stuff.
He did make quite a few guitars.
I hope those that bought it enjoyed it. Vic would have as well.

Will save the IRW for a special guitar and dedicate it to Vic then.

Here is a spalted maple rosette that I put into one of the Swiss spruce tops that I got from Vic's lot. I have finished the guitar but it is with a mate at present and I don't have good pics of the whole thing handy. I'll show you later when I get some. But it is a nice soundboard. Thanks for puting a story to the wood.
