Wish I had seen that when I was first starting out Robbie. Would have saves a lot of anxiety.

Do you bother with using a gramil to score the top before you route the channels? I haven't yet, but occasionally get some chip out that I end up having to try and camouflage, so have a gramil on order, hopping this will fix the problem

Thanks Robbie,

These vids are great. Rather than just showing one way to do a task, they make people aware of all the options leaving the door open wide for those new to the craft to choose what they feel most comfortable with. Well Done.

Cheers

Kim

I used to always use gramil for scoring the top. Then one day I couldn't find it. How many times has that happened to us in our shops? I had to proceed without it and nowadays that is the way I do it.

Another gr8 tute Robbie!

Where did you score that tilting base for your laminate trimmer? ... great idea!! is it only available for a particular model of trimmer, or is it a universal attachment? or is it a home-built job? Any change of a couple of close-up pics of it?

cheers & thanks

John,
most of your major laminate trimmer brands make a tilt base for their trimmers. It is usually cheaper to buy the laminate trimmer kit that comes with a couple of bases and some accessories than to buy the trimmer and base seperately.

Hi
Is there anywhere in Australia where I can buy routing cutter bearings? If yes what range of sizes do you recommend?

Carbitool have a few bearings but you wont get a range of sizes like you do with the LMI/Stewmac kits.

Getting the right bearing size is pretty important in getting the bindings to fit without a lot of extra work. I looked everywhere I could think of locally to get them, but the sizes were fairly limited. In the end I went with the LMI ones.
